Sassy Silk embellishments – Full day

Join Krsital, inventor of Sassy Silkies ™, as she divulges her long kept secrets of making handpainted silk scroll beads from her book, “Fabulous Fabric Beads”.  You’ll learn how to paint and construct silk into these colorful & durable embellishments for your quilts, scrapbooks, jewelry, ATCs, wearables, purses, art journals and altered book making.  You’ll also play with a variety of silk embellishment techniques including foils and Swarovski crystals. 

Please bring: rotary cutter and cutting mat/ruler, 4-1inch sponge brushes, white silk (dupioni, china, raw are all great choices, bring 1/2 yard of each or purchase kits in class)  as well as any silk you have painted/dyed to embellish, apron and rubber gloves if you want to stay clean.
