SILK/SATIN PHOTO TRANSFER

(Needs to be warm outdoors where we do the photo transfer.). A non-toxic way of transferring copies of pictures, colored or black and white to Satin Charmease or silk chiffon.

Each person must bring their own very clear laser copies, (not from a printer!) of pictures.  I suggest 3 copies of each picture, large enough to see on a scarf or piece of fabric. Bring enough copies to cover 3 scarves.

Materials

A round wooden kitchen drawer pull for each student.

Oil of wintergreen, each student will use about 1 oz.

Three round brushes for each student. Sizes 8, 10 & 12.

Satin Charmeuse or silk chiffon scarves or Ruanas or fabric. ( I suggest the vendors have these for sale).

Irons to share (one per three students).

Three foot table space outside for each person to work with oil of wintergreen and same space inside

Old newspapers about a foot high.

Alcohol, kosher salt.
