CLASS DESCRIPTION: 2 DAY WORKSHOP

 

Mandala:  The Magic Circle

All levels of silk painters will create their own meditative Mandala.  This silk wall hanging will be 35x35” and painted with heat set liquid paints.  In depth information on how to work with liquid paints on silk will be taught and experimented with while using a variety of silk painting techniques.  The designing of personal symbols for insight, healing, and self-expression will be incorporated in the Mandala.  Hand-outs included along with painted samples by the Janas.

                                      . 1-Sakura (dual) IDenti Pen #44101: black permanent marker

                                      .  note pad and pencil with favorite poems, sayings or inspirations

                                      . 1-ruler: 12” and 1- box of small safety pins

                                      . 1- small paper cutting scissor

                                      . 1 yard of 8mm white silk: habotai

                                      . 1 or 2 small fine mister (spray) bottles
