Workshop Classes at the Santa Fe, International Silk Painting 2010

Proposal for class:

 

“How to Photograph your Artwork”

 

Lois Ellen Frank a master professional photographer for over 25 years in Los Angeles, California and now in Santa Fe, New Mexico will offer two studio photography classes for silk artists to attend.  Each session will offer a studio demonstration on how to photograph your artwork for reproduction and/or for submitting to an editor or art director for publication.  Ms. Frank will set up professional studio lights and demonstrate her techniques for creating reproduction quality digital images for reproduction and the web.  Each student will bring one piece of finished artwork, which will be professional photographed, color corrected and digitally processed into a high resolution tiff file for reproduction and a low resolution jpg for the web.  The digital files will be given to each student at the end of class.  Ms. Frank has worked with professional galleries, artists, and museums for many years photographing museum quality artwork, both flat and three-dimensional artwork, for magazine reproduction.  Students will receive digital files professionally photographed by Ms. Frank, which would professionally cost over $250.00.  This class is limited to a maximum of 12 students and will fill up quickly so register early.
